Mappilas are famous for their voluntary acts of an individual or group freely giving time and labour for community service. There are many volunteers who are scattered under specific organizations and serving society, as well as people whom can not fix anywhere. They work in their areas, such as medicine, education, or emergency rescue, even though they are trained or not. Others serve on an as-needed basis, such as in response to a natural disaster and etc.
